A colourful mix of Oriental Mesclun (Mesclun, Baby Spinach, Red Chard and Bull's Blood in varying quantities) and flowers.
Spinach is a herbaceous plant with an annual cycle, thanks to it having high resistance to parasite attacks. It is a variety of spinach, with small, robust yet tender and fleshy leaves, bright green in colour. Taste-wise, it’s fresh, delicate and yet also sharp, whilst nutrition-wise, it has a number of important nutritional qualities, contributing to the intake of iron, magnesium, calcium and folacin (vitamin B9). Due to its high water content (over 90%) it is an excellent diuretic and a low-calorie food.
Red Chard: unique in appearance, thanks to its characteristic red stem and its veins of the same colour, this variety of chard has a delicate flavour and no bitter notes. Characterized by oval, shiny leaves, it is rich in fibre, iron and calcium and contains high amounts of Vitamin C and mineral salts. Its green, red ribbed leaves and succulent texture make it a much appreciated variety.
Bull's Blood: this highly prized variety of chard, with its vibrant ruby hue, retains the flavour and succulent texture typical of the chard family, but can be distinguished by its typical and unmistakable blood red colour, hence its name. Rich in fibre and mineral salts, as well as folic acid (vitamin B9) and carotene (vitamin E), it has high antioxidant properties.
